With years of preparation, VATSIM People's Republic of China (VATPRC), a division within VATASIA will become official on July 1, 2010. Our division covers a very large land area in VATASIA, expanding across nine FIRs (Beijing, Guangzhou, Kunming, Lanzhou, Sanya, Shanghai, Shenyang, Urumqi, Wuhan) along with hundreds of airports at various elevations, from the Himalayan Mountains to the South China Sea, and from Tibet Plateau to metropolis of Shanghai and Beijing. All pilots, whether they are flying a VFR flight over mountainous terrain or a long-haul flight from any of the Chinese city to Europe or America, are provided professional ATC service by the controllers at VATPRC.

VATPRC - VATSIM P.R.China Division

As per the third amendment (amd1003) to the China AIP, the original runway (18/36) of Hongqiao Airport (ZSSS) is renamed 18L/36R. The new runway is now open and is named 18R/36L (i.e. west of the original runway).

VATPRC is proud to announce that our own forum has recently been opened to the public.

You may register as you wish, but it is important to note that your registration username must be of the following format:

Firstname Lastname VATSIM_ID (eg. John Smith 1234567)

 

For a number of years, the development of the unofficial VATPRC division of the VATSIM virtual flying network had been carried out without clearly define a management team. As a response, a management team is now selected and finalised to be held responsible for the VATPRC development.

[01/01/10] New Task is Set: Sanya FIR (ZJSA)

The first Flight Information Region (FIR) for 2010 is the Sanya FIR. After in-depth planning and negotiating, VATPRC decides to develop Sanya FIR.
